Fun Ways to Enjoy our Cookies

Our cookies alone are a tasty treat, but if you’re looking for an extra wow factor, we’ve got some ideas! From ice cream to beer (no, this is not an April Fool’s joke), we’re here to offer some fun and unique ways to enjoy our cookies. Here we go!

Ice Cream Sandwiches

We’ll start with the obvious: ice cream sandwiches. Cookies and ice cream have been the ultimate duo since the beginning of time (or like, since whenever cookies and ice cream were invented). There is something so heavenly when biting into an ice cream sandwich – two warm, crisp yet gooey cookies, with a scoop of luscious ice cream in between…is your mouth watering too?!

Lucky for you, we serve ice cream sandwiches at our bakery! We offer a selection of Marianne’s Ice Cream, which pairs so perfectly with our cookies. You can never go wrong with two chocolate chip cookies and a scoop of Heaven (vanilla ice cream with chocolate swirl, peanut butter swirl and brownies).

Skip the graham crackers and use our fresh-baked cookies at your next bonfire! You can start with Snickerdoodle cookies, but in this situation, you really can’t go wrong with any flavor! Do everything else the same as you would a regular s’more and enjoy! *Tip: Use Chocolate Chip or Dr. Midnight cookies and allow the chocolate chips to melt for extra gooey-ness!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookie Sandwich

Similar to an ice cream sandwich, minus the ice cream. Grab two Peanut Butter cookies (or Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips) and spread peanut butter on one, jelly on the other. Slap the two together, and you’ve got yourself a Peanut Butter and Jelly cookie sandwich! Can also be enjoyed as an open-faced sandwich with banana slices on top!

Cookies and Beer

If Girl Scouts can pair their cookies with beer, SO CAN WE. We know, we know, you might think this is an odd pairing, but you know the old saying: “don’t knock it until you try it!”

You can start off with a light beer and our classic Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie. Or perhaps a fruity cider with a Lemon Drop cookie. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for a Cahootz with a Porter or Stout. Truthfully, nothing will ever compare to cookies and milk, but if you ever want to switch things up, don’t be scared to crack open a cold one!

Have we convinced you to try some of these concoctions? They might not be for everyone, but we can all agree that they unique ways to enjoy our cookies. What are some fun ways you’ve enjoyed our cookies? Let us know in the comments 🙂

How to Decorate Cookies

There’s nothing better than cookies fresh out of the oven. The fun part: decorating! There are plenty of ways to do this—icing, fondant, sprinkles—and many techniques, too. So, if you’re looking to jazz up your cookies, consider the below!

1. Icing

Use a piping bag when you’re decorating. It’s easier to evenly decorate, because you can control how much and how fast icing comes out. If you want to have even more support, consider a coupler. It’s a plastic tool that secures the tip onto the bag. Spilling, be gone.

If there are air bubbles in your icing, gently use a toothpick to pop them. That way, your cookies will have the perfect finish. And use gel food coloring rather than liquid—they won’t change the texture of the icing.

2. Cinnamon, Sugar, and Sprinkles

For cookies with toppings like cinnamon and sugar, like snickerdoodles, roll frozen dough into balls—the butter needs to solidify for this—and then cover in cinnamon and sugar. Bake them for the usual amount of time, then let them cool fully before diving in.

For sprinkles, fold them into the dough prior to baking. If you only want them on top, gently press them in with your fingers. This way, they’ll stick properly.

3. Chocolate-Dipped Cookies

Chocolate-dipped cookies are easy. But first, you have to know a little bit about how to mix it. Basically: warm up half of your chocolate, then mix in the rest until it’s totally melted. The heat will melt the excess, and it’ll set more evenly. After you dip your cookies, place them on parchment paper to cool until the chocolate has hardened. Then dig in! There are many more ways to decorate your cookies, but here is a start! Not looking to start from scratch? Consider stopping by Pacific Cookie Company. We’ll have the perfect cookies to dip into that delicious chocolate.

Behold, the Birthday Cookie Cake!

Cookie Cakes

Traditional birthday cakes are so 2019. If you’re looking to switch things up this year, look no further than our fresh baked, gourmet cookies! We already told you that Dessert Bars are a unique way to treat your guests, so why not ditch the traditional cake?! Here, we have a “cookie cake” idea that is a sure way to spruce up a kids birthday party! Kids love cookies, so imagine their face when they see mounds of cookies with bright, illuminating candles!

All You Need is Cookies

When we say “Cookie Cake”, we’re not talking about one big cookie with frosting and sprinkles, but rather, stacks of cookies put together to resemble a round cake. Depending on how many guests you’re hosting, you may only need a few dozen, but if you’re expecting a large crowd, we suggest our Box of 144-1oz cookies (also, leftovers never hurt anybody). You can select up to six flavors which is great because your guests will appreciate options!

We think it’s fun to mix the stacks with different flavors, but you can certainly assemble your cake as you please! One option is keeping the flavors together – for example, one stack of all chocolate chip, one stack of all lemon drop, etc.

Cookies, to-go please!

After the candles have been blown out and the very important wish has been made, let the kids go wild! Okay, maybe not wild, but have them dig in! It will be fun to see which flavor(s) they choose. If you find yourself with leftovers, you can put together goodie bags for the kids to take home!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Whether you’re celebrating with your gals, pals or your sweetie, Valentine’s Day is here and we are feelin’ the love! We are also admiring all the heart shaped pizzas, chocolates, pancakes and bacon (yes, bacon). All this heart shaped food inspired us to create our very own lovable Valentine’s Day cookie!

Cookie decorating not at it’s finest…

Decorative cookies are certainly not our forte, but we had a fun time putting this together! Our first attempt was not very successful. We won’t bore you with that photo (picture a big chocolate chip cookie blob). We realized we needed a heart shaped pan to avoid spreading. Cue in the Target run!

Heart Cookie Pan, $4.99 from Target.

We found a heart shaped cookie pan at Target and picked up cookie frosting to decorate. We also may or may not have strolled through the clothes, shoes, makeup – D’OH sorry back to cookies! We kept it simple with white and pink frosting, but if you want to try this at home, let your creative juices flow! You can find lots of cake decorating tools at your local grocery store, and if you’re in a rush, pick up ready-to-bake cookie dough! This makes for a great last minute Valentine’s Day dessert.

What will we do for the next holiday?

We were impressed with everyone’s Valentine’s Day themed foods and can’t wait to see what people have in store for upcoming holidays. With Saint Patrick’s Day and Easter in the line-up, we know people will get creative! Stay tuned to see what we come up with 😉
